It's taken me years to get a logo. I hesitated talking to designers about it because I felt that because I'm so picky, I was afraid I'd be obligated to take their designs if they spent a lot of time on it. With 99 Designs I didn't feel that pressure because there were so many designers competing for my business. I'm very pleased with the results. I had over 350 designs (they didn't come all at once so it wasn't as overwhelming as it sounds) from 28 designers. I made the mistake of launching a contest between Christmas and New Years, and had a very weak initial response. The company was great at extending my deadline and helping me tweak my ask to better attract good designers. Product : The designers were quite variable, and the company was great at facilitating the interaction.

The process required a lot of input from my team and the folks at 99 Designs were happy to extend the time frames so we could achieve consensus, review and make decisions. Not feeling pressured, but still regularly engaged was critical. I am so happy with the result. One tip to everyone, don't be afraid to push the designers to get it right - really work with all of them. The right design will rise to the top if you all work your tails off. We are thrilled. Product : The final output was exceptional. It was incredibly difficult to eliminate designs as the submissions were all really really good. I am so grateful for the work, commitment and creativity of the designers. A truly great experience.

99designs has a couple very helpful functions: 1) Ability to create a poll - this was incredibly useful for obtaining feedback from outside sources. 2) Customer service chat function - my questions were usually short and simple, so the chat function provided a quick and easy way to get those questions resolved. Product : Got tons of design proposals on the contest. For the first day or 2, designs would trickle in and I'd provide feedback. The last couple days is when multiple designs start coming in all at once, so I had lots to choose from. It helped to get frequent email updates from 99designs keeping me up to date on the contest and letting me know if I had new messages from designers.

The website was easy to use. It lead me through all the steps without a lot of compilation. I like to read so I still delved into the "help" articles - they were useful by being short and to the point. I had one question for the company that I used their "chat" feature - I received a useful answer quickly. Overall good experience. Product : I had never used 99 Designs before but needed a logo for a new LLC we are starting up. I had a very good experience with my logo contest. Received 250+ designs on the "basic" level contest - far more than I expected. Although some were pretty average, there was more than enough high quality ones that we had a hard time picking our final winner. File handover was very easy and I received files in every conceivable format (I asked for that because I don't know a lot about formats and wanted to have everything I might need for future).

Great "bang for your buck" with many design styles delivered to give you a well rounded selection. Product : Almost 70 different designs submitted! Quality was great, the designers listed to feedback and watched what I did and did not like. The designers adapted the style of logo as the contest progressed.
