An infographic about visual map of complimentary parking location. A map is always complex thing, especially for the readers. I myself don't like to read map that is too technical. So, for this design, my attempt was to visualize the map to be attractive, simple, and, the most important thing is, still informative. To get an attractive map, i used a 3D visualization. To make it simple, i use isometric projection so i can get a simple geometric shape. The color was very limited too, i only used blue to emphasize the client's building. The rest is only black and white.

For this I had to study the architecture of the buildings and then create the visual guidelines for this piece. For that I defined a fixed width for the lines with the thicker in the outside to highlight the building and lighter lines to show some details.

They use to have some surreal themes on their previous labels so I went for a bass (usual catch in the Chicago Area) fishing using pizza as bait. Instead of a boat he has a big bucket.

After this chaos, then, our "hero" travels aboard a cargo ship to the Gulf of Guinea. The ship is loaded with diesel cars manipulated from the Volkswagen scandal, which can no longer be sold in Europe, but perhaps in countries with less enthusiastic climate regulations. As part of its "business scheme" At some point, the ship also crosses a "cemetery" of dead freighters that have been thrown by companies in the bay. This modern equipment, mixed with the imposing maze of containers on the ship's deck, will be the protagonists of this scene.

The task was to create an illustration of a monster, lurking in the deep abyss of our unconsciousness, in this case represented by the sea. The contest holder asked for a monster with tentacles, a lighthouse, probably an inclusion of gold coins and the text "the song in the deep". They asked for a light emitting from the lighthouse, but I decided to change the highlights from a simple ray coming from the house to a general highlighting of the picture, including text, the monster's eyes and tentacles, as well as the gold coins. Many entries had some kind of noble flair, so I tried to avoid that by giving it a more horrorlike appearance to go with the idea. Furthermore I wanted to keep a visible contrast between the front and the background, so it's easy to see what is going on. Creation process: Sketched by hand, worked on the basics in Paint Tool SAI, finalized it by turning into a vector graphic in Adobe Illustrator (since it should fit all sizes equally well).
